Casa Gioberti reflects the labor of love a local Roman couple, Amadeo and Santina, ambitiously undertook to transform his childhood home into a comfortable, fully restored vacation rental for visitors to Rome. The two-bedroom apartment is situated just steps from Termini station, Rome’s central transportation hub, and Santa Maria Maggiore, one of Rome’s Papal Basilicas which unwalls its Holy Doors each Jubilee year. The pair painstakingly restored original floor tiles, ceiling frescoes, and the solid wood doors that date back nearly 100 years. While guests are treated with the comforts of the 21st century, they are also surrounded by authentic materials and architecture transporting them to a time long gone.
The website color palette is established by royal purple and burnt orange, references to the luxurious fabrics used inside the apartment as well as the charming architectural views from the 3rd floor windows. The simple, single-page layout is sufficient for the single vacation apartment meanwhile the website is light-weight, simple to scroll on any device, and quick to load – which ultimately translated into higher conversion rates for potential guests.
